About us

Back in 2001, a small group of gardening friends in Brighton wanted to find a better way to share their hard-earned knowledge, support the organic cause in the local area and inspire more people to garden organically.

Brighton and Hove Organic Gardeners was born out of that vision, and more than 10 years on we’re a not-for-profit community organisation entirely run by volunteers. These days, we have a community allotment, run a monthly urban gardening course, coordinate a calendar of events and activities and work with other community groups.  Most importantly, we want to help people realise that gardening organically is easy, fun and rewarding.  We’re sustained by our membership fees.
