BHOGG Event: A Boundary Walk with Geoff Mead

Join Geoff Mead on Wednesday 28th July from 7pm on a leisurely walking tour around the Boundary of the University of Sussex

This walk encompasses a range of habitats from young woodland to huge and very old beech trees; open chalk grassland, a deep valley and views out up to the National Park and down to Stanmer House. We circle the campus noting the range of building styles and the restrictions of a large urban institution in a confined downland valley. Some steep slopes and generally a great deal of mud!

This event is free to BHOGG members and £10 (£5 unwaged) to non-members – but don’t forget, you still need to book a space.  Tickets are limited to 15 people; Book your place here

Not a member? join BHOGG now (£10/ £5 unwaged for the year) and get access to this and our other events free all year! Although we’re committed to keeping this event free, any donation you can make to support the work of BHOGG would be greatly appreciated.

Geoff is a Geography Associate Lecturer at Sussex University, specialising in the landscapes of SE England, in both urban and rural areas.  His wide range of talks combine social history, geography, geology and a ‘sense of place’.
