BHOGG Event: A Shoreham Seaside Saunter with Vic

Join Vic Benson on Saturday 5th June from 10.30am to find out all plants indigenous to vegetated shingle and how to identify them.

Vic’s interest stems from having lived on Shoreham Beach for many years, both as a teenager and most recently since 1997. We’re hoping to find plants including echiums, crambe, yellow horned poppies, red valerian and maybe starry clover and childing pink. The walk will be around 2.5 and 3 miles in length.  If the weather is fine, bring a picnic lunch to eat on the beach at the end of the walk.

This event is free to BHOGG members and £10 (£5 unwaged) to non-members – but don’t forget, you still need to book a space.  Tickets are limited to 15 people; Book your place here

Not a member? join BHOGG now (£10/ £5 unwaged for the year) and get access to this and our other events free all year! Although we’re committed to keeping this event free, any donation you can make to support the work of BHOGG would be greatly appreciated.

Vic has been involved with the managment for the Local Nature Reserve since 1996 and swims every day from the local beach witnessing the changes which occur throughout the year.
